Club 1872 Approves Rangers Summer Schools Project

Club 1872 is delighted to announce that our members have voted overwhelmingly (with 90% in favour) to approve our first project to fund 100 places at Rangers Soccer Schools summer camps at various venues throughout Scotland.

This project will allow kids, who may not otherwise have had the chance to participate, to receive one week’s coaching and education courtesy of Club 1872. This project will benefit both the Rangers community and Rangers Football Club through supporting and promoting the excellent work done by Rangers community coaches.

Rangers Soccer Schools began in 2003, giving boys and girls of all abilities the opportunity to learn and develop under the guidance of their talented coaching staff.

The community programs enhance the reputation of Rangers not only as a Scottish institution but also as a responsible organisation which takes its commitment to the local and national community seriously. Recent first-team debutants Aidan Wilson and Jamie Barjonas graduated to the Rangers Youth Academy having impressed at the soccer schools. More details can be found here.

Places will be allocated by Rangers Community and Soccer Schools to a variety of schools and community groups across Scotland.

We will keep members updated on the progress of the project over the summer.
