In February 2017, Club 1872 members voted overwhelmingly against the introduction of Strict Liability to Scottish football. The public consultation process for the Football (Strict Liability) (Scotland) Bill is now underway, and Club 1872 has submitted an organisational response confirming our opposition to the proposals. With 92.3% of members who took part in our poll voting against the introduction of Strict Liability, we have written to the Scottish Parliament to express the view that the Bill should not be implemented.
Club 1872 members can also take part in the consultation as individuals, or submit responses as RSCs. The consultation survey is open to everyone, and can be accessed here. All responses must be received no later than Friday 17th March 2017.
