Glasgow City Council has announced that they are commencing the process to propose event day parking controls for the area around Ibrox Stadium during football games/major events.
As these controls will affect many of our members who attend home games, we recently polled members on their views on these proposals. The result of that poll was that 94.5% of those who took part indicted that they oppose the proposals.
We will now send a Club 1872 representative to attend the public engagement session on 19th January 2017, where we will share the results of the poll along with specific comments and questions raised via email, and gather more information on the proposals. This will allow us to continue to engage in dialogue with our members and Glasgow City Council as the process continues.
